Flu-related Illnesses On The Rise

CDC estimates that so far this season, there have been up to 7.3 million illnesses, 3.5 million medical visits, and 84,000 hospitalizations related to #flu.

First Flu Death Reported: 2018-2019 Season
Health officials in the Connecticut area confirmed the first flu death of the 2018-2019 season. The state department of public health reported the patient was over the age of 65 years of age. So far the state has had 22+ hospitalizations related to the flu, and that’s just the start.
